Loss to Cyclones Extends Augusta Losing Streak
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones topped the Augusta Rail Riders, 5-3, in Prince Fielder League action at Vin Scully Park. The player of the game was Brooklyn pitcher Andrew Welborn. With the loss, Augusta drops to 2-7.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from catcher Izzy Briseno. For the game, Briseno was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-0 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Briseno said after the game.
