Ray Helps Bomberos Run Win Streak to 6
It was a good time at The Back Draft, where fans came to watch the Caribbean Commies and El Paso Bomberos get after it.

The El Paso Bomberos topped the Caribbean Commies, 16-9, with first baseman Mike Ray playing a big role. Ray was 2-5 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 times and driving in 5 for the Bomberos in the win. El Paso reliever Armando Molina was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Bill Schindler took the loss for Caribbean.

The Bomberos beat the Commies with some clutch hitting. The home run by Chris Raney in the bottom of the third is a good example. With two down, Raney gave his team the lead, 5-2, when he came through with the big hit.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Ray said.

El Paso, at 6-0, has sizzled in the early going.
