Torres, Cats Wallop Racers in Game 7 of R1
The Fort Worth Cats needed some late heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Triple A World Series today. The Cats needed 12 innings before taking the 8-7 win against the Bowling Green Racers in a walk-off at LaGrave Field. Fort Worth designated hitter Carlos Torres was named player of the game after he went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice. The win gives the Cats a 4-3 advantage in the best-of-7 Triple A League Championship.

Torres had the big at-bat for Fort Worth. With no one out in the bottom of the 12th inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, giving Fort Worth the 8-7 win.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Torres.
