Raucous Top of the Hill Crowd Propels Racers to 4-0 Victory; Series Tied at 2
|
The Bowling Green Racers knotted up the Triple A League Championship at Top of the Hill today, thanks in large part to starter Alain Picard. Picard quieted the Fort Worth Cats, enabling Bowling Green to grab the 4-0 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.
Picard gave Bowling Green a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 7 innings.
"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Picard said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."
Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Top of the Hill in Bowling Green. The scheduled starters for the game are He-ping Wang for Fort Worth and Jonathan Burton for Bowling Green.
