Arnim Handcuffs Texans, Rhinos Seize 2-0 Advantage in R1
|
With starter Sigfrid Arnim leading the charge, the Rubber City Rhinos defeated the Dallas Texans, 4-2, in Game 2 of the Divisional Round today. The right-hander threw 7 innings allowing 1 run at Metroplex Park to help Rubber City take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Rubber City center fielder Oscar Costales contributed to the cause with a triple in the top of the first. For the game, Costales went 2-3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs.
"We're not going to sweep 'em," Costales said in response to a question after the game. "Dallas is too good not to take a game somewhere."
The next game is set to be played Tuesday, October 17th, 2034 at The Rubber Grounds in Akron. Slated to start are Juan Vázquez for Dallas and Vincent Vickers for Rubber City.
