Mustangs Win at Eureka, 4-2
|
Mile High Mustangs starter Ross Allan was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Eureka Hornets, 4-2. Allan got the win, improving to 8-5. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Allan allowed 2 earned runs. Quan Que was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 21 of 23 save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for Mile High, had it not been for Denzel Kemsley, the two-time Gold Glove Award winner . Kemsley contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Mile High up, 2-1.
Eureka manager Stephen Jackson said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The Mustangs move to 46-44 with the win, while the Hornets drop to 43-49.
