Stogies Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0
The Havana Stogies got a strong performance from pitcher Félix Ruíz, who stymied the visiting New England Colonials en route to a 7-1 win in Game 2 of the Divisional Round today. The Colonials could never get a bead on the right-handed Ruíz, who threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball to earn player of the game honors. The Stogies now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Garin Renzenbrink aided the Havana cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Havana manager Reynaldo Vázquez.

The next game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17th, 2034 at Skellington Stadium in Foxborough. Slated to start are Jimmy Hunter for the Havana Stogies and Juan Martínez for the the New England Colonials.
