Raucous Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium Crowd Propels Mustangs to 3-0 Victory; Series Tied at 1
Trailing by a game in the Single A World Series, Sam Young was ready for his start.

The right-hander turned in a performance for the ages at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium today, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the San Angelo Mustangs to victory in Game 2 of the Single A World Series. Young held the Atlantic City Kings to 3 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 7. The win brought San Angelo into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Young allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 9 innings for the Mustangs. He walked 2 and struck out 7.

Young said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The next game is set to be played Thursday, October 26th, 2034 at The Royal Colosseum in Atlantic City. Slated to start are David Benitez for the San Angelo Mustangs and Tony Alfonso for the the Atlantic City Kings.
