Almost There: Bloomington On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 8-5 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of right fielder Roger Barrett, the Bloomington Blazers got a road win against the South Carolina Bombers, 8-5, in Game 4 of the Divisional Round today. Barrett was 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Blazers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Fernando Franco aided the Bloomington cause with a 2-run single in the top of the ninth. For the game, the shortstop was 2-6 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It feels good to get this one," Franco told the Bloomington Times.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bomber Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Salah bin Atif for Bloomington and Ange Schmit for South Carolina.
