Touchet, Nutcrackers Wallop Storm in Game 3 of R1
Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Bill Touchet, the Normal Nutcrackers stopped the visiting Wichita Storm, 7-6, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. Touchet went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Nutcrackers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Tony Velasquez was at the plate when Normal scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Nutcrackers to go in front, 5-4.

"We're feeling good about this," said Nutcrackers manager Richard Lawson. "We have got an advantage now and we just need to keep the pressure on."

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Tony de la Cruz for Wichita and Tony Rivera for Normal.
