Monaco, Golden Bears Wallop Cardinals in Game 6 of R1
The Billings West Golden Bears and the Montreal Cardinals will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Golden Bears beat the Cardinals 15-4 at Guadalajara HS Grounds to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Billings West center fielder Daniel Monaco was named player of the game in the win after he was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4.

Moses Andrews aided the Billings West cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Brian Neyman said.

Game 7 is scheduled for tomorrow at Guadalajara HS Grounds. Slated to start are Pat Hamilton for Montreal and Bill Henderson for Billings West.
