Nylander, Cardinals Wallop Golden Bears in Game 4 of R1
The Montreal Cardinals defeated the Billings West Golden Bears, 8-5 in Game 4 of the League Championship Series today. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Kasey Nylander, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win moves Montreal into a 2-2 tie with Billings West in the series.

Had Nylander not come through in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Nylander hit a 3-run home run. The Cardinals never looked back after taking the 8-5 lead.

"It feels good to get this one," Nylander told the Montreal News.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds in Montreal. Slated to start are Bill Henderson for the Billings West Golden Bears and Pat Hamilton for the the Montreal Cardinals.
