League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Beloin\n and Billings West
|
The Billings West Golden Bears started the League Championship Series in style today, downing the visiting Montreal Cardinals at Guadalajara HS Grounds by a score of 7-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Golden Bears right-hander Paul Beloin was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings allowing 2 runs.
The Golden Bears picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"We did a lot of things right," said Beloin.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Guadalajara HS Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Danny Gordon for the Montreal Cardinals and Matt Taylor for the the Billings West Golden Bears.
