Teal, Panthers Wallop Warhawks in Game 7 of R1
|
The Pleasantville Panthers moved to within one game of the Little League World Series today, downing the Seminole Warhawks on the road at Attack Ballpark by a score of 13-2. Panthers designated hitter Paul Teal was named player of the game after he was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The win gives the Panthers a 4-3 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.
Steve Alongi went 1-4 for Pleasantville. In the top of the second, with the teams deadlocked, 0-0, Alongi delivered for the Panthers. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Pleasantville on top, 1-0.
"It was full throttle on our side," said Teal.
