Marin, Warhawks Wallop Panthers in Game 4 of R1
|
The Seminole Warhawks defeated the Pleasantville Panthers, 11-6 in Game 4 of the League Championship Series today. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Manny Marin, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The win moves Seminole into a 2-2 tie with Pleasantville in the series.
The game hit a turning point in the top of the fourth inning, when the Warhawks were trailing 4-3. Ricky Pena delivered a two-out 2-run single for Seminole, catapulting his team into the lead.
"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Seminole manager Rich Nolin told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Dustin Campeau for the Seminole Warhawks and Sean Harris for the the Pleasantville Panthers.
