Sato, ORIX Start Japan Series Championship Strong with Home Win

When the games really matter, the ORIX Buffaloes put on their best show, beating the Hanshin Tigers by a final score of 14-0 today. Keita Sato earned player of the game honors, as he slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. ORIX now leads Hanshin 1-0 in the best-of-7 affair.
In the bottom of the third inning, right fielder Hyo-chin Suk came through big-time for the Buffaloes. With ORIX leading 1-0, he belted a grand slam home run.
Buffaloes manager Steve Richards had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sea Hawks Stadium. Slated to start are Santos Restrepo for the Hanshin Tigers and Shuichiro Otsuka for the the ORIX Buffaloes.
