Janes, Stars Wallop Legends in Game 4 of R1
The Niagara Stars defeated the Saskatoon Legends, 9-8 in Game 4 of the CBL League Championship today. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Bruce Janes, who went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win moves Niagara into a 2-2 tie with Saskatoon in the series.

Janes had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the sixth for the Stars. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Niagara trailing 7-6, he hit a 3-run home run.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Saskatoon manager Allen Cummings. "But we decided not to take it."

Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow at Drummondville College Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Jason Keeping for Saskatoon and Gilbert Beckmann for Niagara.
