The Niagara Stars relied on the hitting of designated hitter Darren Marsh to get by the Saskatoon Legends, 6-5, in Game 2 of the CBL League Championship today. For the game, Marsh went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.

George Greening's at-bat in the top of the first inning was a big one for Niagara. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Niagara leading 1-0, the shortstop hit a 2-run single.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Marsh.

The next game is set to be played Tuesday, July 18th, 2034 at Drummondville College Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Jason Keeping for Saskatoon and Gilbert Beckmann for Niagara.
