Matheny Helps KO Run Win Streak to 4
KO designated hitter Mike Matheny put his stamp on his team's 12-3 win over the Scottsdale Scorpions. Matheny went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6 for Long Beach in the contest. With their winning streak at 4, the KO have raced to a strong start this season.

Matheny had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The KO went on to win.

Matheny told a Long Beach Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
