The El Paso Bomberos topped the Brooklyn Cyclones, 3-1, in Prince Fielder League action at Vin Scully Park. The player of the game was El Paso pitcher and Goodyear, Arizona native Mike Sapienza. In 5.1 innings, Sapienza surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. El Paso, now 5-0, has gotten their season off to a good start.

El Paso used the timely hitting of Katsuyuki Yokoi to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bomberos on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
