Stogies Topple Aces with Late Rally
|
Las Vegas pitcher Rino Nitisastro gave the Stogies all they could handle, but in the end, Havana left The Humidor with a 3-2 win. Nitisastro allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 5 innings. Felipe Arreola notched his 17th save in 20 chances. Las Vegas's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
Yeow-whye Jing, who is the top prospect in the Stogies organization, chipped in for Havana with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
