The Cabo San Lucas Toreros trumped the San Francisco Earthquakes, 8-4, at Field de Los Layendas. Cabo San Lucas catcher Jeff Butler was named player of the game for his performance. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. The Earthquakes, now 29-60, have lost 4 straight.

Butler had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Eddie Rosado, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Toreros a 8-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Butler.

In postgame comments to the Cabo San Lucas Daily, Butler said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
