Marauders Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
The Maple Marauders beat the San Francisco Earthquakes, 10-3, at Legends Park. The Marauders got a fine performance from center fielder Andreas Kubel, who captured player of the game honors. He belted 2 home runs. Maple, now 4-6, is off to a slow start.

Kojuro Ine, who is a two-time Most Valuable Player Award winner, aided the Maple cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Marauders manager Jesús Alfaro. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
