Bombers Continue Skid Thanks to Smith, Marauders
The Maple Marauders defeated the South Carolina Bombers, 11-8, in Thurman Munson League action at Bomber Ballpark, with Maple second baseman Jordan Smith named player of the game. Maple starter Khurshid Durrani was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 10-3. Hariz Sahir notched his 15th save in 16 chances.

Smith had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-2 fastball from Aidan Carrick, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Marauders a 7-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Smith.

"Feels good to get the job done," Smith said after the game.

Maple goes to 58-28. The win puts them 6˝ games up in their division.
