Tornadoes Win at Georgia, 3-0
|
The Kansas City Tornadoes topped the Georgia Grays by the score of 3-0, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Matt Winters. Winters was 1 for 2 with 3 walks for the Tornadoes on the day. The winner was Kansas City reliever Robinson Merrado, now 12-1. The loser was Takeshi Gato. Kansas City has now won 3 in a row.
Franklin Gray, who is tied for 6th in the TML in triples with 5, aided the Kansas City cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder went 2-3 with a double and a walk.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Davey Morris.
