Alleycats Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Topeka West Chargers and Tioga Central Tigers.
The Tioga Central Tigers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Ted Mengel, who kept Topeka West hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Tigers win at Alleycats Ballpark. The Tigers bumped their record to 33-32 with this latest triumph.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from second baseman Jeremy Alsobrooks. For the game, Alsobrooks was 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Tioga Central a 1-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Alsobrooks.
