The Cabo San Lucas Toreros got a superb performance from pitcher Joey Steamer, but the Vancouver Pioneers still won the game, 5-1. Steamer was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings allowing 5 runs. Tomoyuki Kiyomizu notched his 1st save in 1 chances. Vancouver is now 39-46, Cabo San Lucas 33-53.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the third inning. That's when designated hitter Hiroya Shimada, who is tied for 9th in the TML in triples with 4, reached on an error by the 2B. The Pioneers went on to win.
