Lerna right fielder Rich Stewart made his presence felt in the 9-5 Lions triumph over the Downsview Mustangs. Stewart went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Derek Stumpff got the win, improving to 6-2. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 3. Lerna is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The Lions got a big at-bat from designated hitter Nick Gerke. For the game, Gerke went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Lerna a 2-0 lead.
