Victory Over Patriots Takes Billings West to 40-22
|
The Billings West Golden Bears picked up a win at Guadalajara HS Grounds, knocking off the Francis Lewis Patriots, 7-3. Starting pitcher Matt Taylor, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Taylor went the distance for Billings West. He gave up 3 earned runs on 9 hits. Billings West has now won 3 in a row.
Jon Reyes, who is tied for 3rd in the PRL in hits with 105, aided the Billings West cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman was 2-5 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Reyes called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
