Panthers Need Extras to Top Titans
Pitman High and Carl Albert engaged in a slugfest at Batfish Ballpark.

Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Josh Miller, the Carl Albert Titans suffered a 12-10 loss to the Pitman High Panthers. Miller went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Pitman High reliever Adam Diedrick picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Matthew Miller shouldered the loss.

Pitman High won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Tom Frenchik on the mound for Carl Albert, left fielder Garry Mailing hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Panthers fans to their feet.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Mailing.

The last-place Panthers improved to 25-36.
