Theriot Goes on Rampage Against Lancers
|
Jimmy Theriot put on a hitting clinic today as the Francis Lewis Patriots dumped the Canby Lancers 8-3 at Ottawa HS Grounds.
The Francis Lewis third baseman made Canby defenders earn their pay, lashing Canby pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Theriot said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Jimmy Theriot singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
This season Theriot has hit 13 home runs and posted a .372 batting average.
