Islanders Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Enterprise
|
The Grand Island Islanders picked up a win at Ballpark of Morelia HS, knocking off the Enterprise Hornets, 6-3. Starting pitcher Marcus Jackowski was an essential part of his team's success. The Islanders bumped their record to 31-28 with this latest triumph.
Vince Jarvis hit a 2-run triple off Aaron Buckley in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Islanders in front, 2-1. In addition to the triple, Jarvis had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
Jarvis told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
