The Tioga Central Tigers stymied the Downsview Mustangs, 6-2, at Visigoths Stadium. Jeremy Alsobrooks, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Tioga Central. The Tigers bumped their record to 29-29 with this latest triumph.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from left fielder Ken Laybolt. For the game, Laybolt was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Tioga Central a 3-2 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Laybolt told the Tioga Central Chronicle.
