Cardinals Stymie Riverside, Take 4-1 Win
|
Kearny High Cardinals starter Nate Lawson was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Riverside Poly, 4-1. The Cardinals bumped their record to 30-27 with this latest triumph.
The Cardinals got a big at-bat from catcher Justin Kropf. For the game, Kropf was 1-3 with a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season gave Kearny High a 1-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Kearny High manager Seth Richert. "It's usually not just one thing."
