The Francis Lewis Patriots got a stellar performance from pitcher Rich Moran, who handcuffed the Derby offense en route to a 5-1 win at Ottawa HS Grounds. With the win, the Patriots improved to 27-29.

Tim Croix had a big 2-run double for the Patriots in the bottom of the second inning. With Francis Lewis leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from Greg Keelan and stroked the double to right. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Patriots ahead, 3-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Croix told the Francis Lewis Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
