Chargers Prevail, 7-5, Over Tenafly

The Tenafly Tigers got a superb performance from first baseman Eisse Broadhurst, but the Topeka West Chargers still won the game, 7-5. Broadhurst was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Topeka West is 24-31 and Tenafly, with the loss, 25-30.
Edward Peterson, who is tied for 4th in the PRL in runs scored with 59, aided the Topeka West cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Peterson said.
