Victory Pushes Mustangs Record to 30-25
|
Fans at Swamp Foxes Stadium were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown College Park take on the San Marin Mustangs.
The San Marin Mustangs picked up a win at Swamp Foxes Stadium, knocking off the College Park, 7-1. On the mound for San Marin was right-hander Ron Mabie, who played a pivotal role in the win. Mabie went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-2.
Cody Wallace hit a run-scoring triple off Mark Head in the top of the first, which put the Mustangs in front, 1-0. In addition to the triple, Wallace had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"A great game, a great day," said Wallace about the win. "I can't complain."
San Marin now has a 3-game win streak.
