Lions Clip Tigers in Tight Contest
The Lerna Lions topped the Tenafly Tigers, 7-5, in Pete Rose League action at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS. The player of the game was Lerna second baseman Bryan Brogan. The Lions raised their record to 25-29.

Brogan had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Steven Keys, he banged a bases-clearing double to center, giving the Lions a 7-5 lead. It was the 10th double of the year for Brogan.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Brogan. "And not try to do too much."
