Mansy Helps San Marin Outscore Jefferson
The San Marin Mustangs topped the Jefferson Indians, 18-17, in Hank Aaron League action at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. The player of the game was San Marin catcher Alan Mansy. The win was Jason Martinsen's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Phil Furlan took the loss for Jefferson. Eric Spence, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from second baseman Elliott Atherton. For the game, Atherton was 1 for 2 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave San Marin a 16-14 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Atherton. "And not try to do too much."

The Mustangs bumped their record to 29-25 with this latest triumph.
