Fisher, Panthers Beat Poly, 13-5
|
Panthers first baseman Adam Fisher put his stamp on his team's 13-5 win over the Riverside Poly. Fisher was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for Pleasantville in the contest. Ryan Dudzinski got the win, improving to 6-5. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 8 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. The Panthers bumped their record to 28-25 with this latest triumph.
Jesus Torres contributed to the Pleasantville win with a grand slam home run in the top of the first. For the game, the shortstop had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"We maximized our offense today," said Pleasantville skipper Bobby Lowenstein. "That makes everyone's life easier."
