Johnson, Mustangs Beat Patriots, 11-6

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Randy Johnson, the Downsview Mustangs defeated the Francis Lewis Patriots, 11-6. Johnson went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Mustangs. Downsview is in last place in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division with a record of 24-29.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from second baseman Jesse Higginbotham. For the game, Higginbotham was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 61st hit of the season gave Downsview a 7-6 lead.
"We came out aggressive," said Mustangs manager Ralph Prince. "We came out swinging the bats."
