The Pleasantville Panthers defeated the Riverside Poly, 8-4, in Hank Aaron League action at Apollos Ballpark, with Pleasantville center fielder Taketo Takami named player of the game. The Panthers bumped their record to 27-25 with this latest triumph.

The Panthers had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the seventh. The score was 6-2, Pleasantville, with no one out. Riverside, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Brad Revelli dug in at the plate, but on a 1-0 slider, he hit into a double play.
