Patriots Topple Vampires as Shaner Shines
The Francis Lewis Patriots grabbed a 13-5 win over the Santa Clara Vampires at Ottawa HS Grounds. Francis Lewis left fielder Bobby Shaner went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs to earn player of the game honors. Aaron Coltrin earned the win to go to 2-2. He allowed 5 earned runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 10 strikeouts. Er Zong aided the Francis Lewis cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4.
