Wortman Excels, But Mustangs Win
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Jason Wortman, the Enterprise Hornets suffered a 10-8 loss to the San Marin Mustangs. Wortman was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. San Marin reliever Iestyn Milward was the winner. His record is now 2-3. Dustin Hastings took the loss. Eric Spence earned save number 7.

San Marin took a 9-8 lead on Mike Schlachter's 59th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Schlachter hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Enterprise pitcher Cody Rowland shaking his head.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Schlachter told reporters after the game.

The Mustangs bumped their record to 25-24 with this latest triumph.
