Multi-HR Day for Vinson as Vampires Overpower Patriots, 11-9
Vampires third baseman Brian Vinson put his stamp on his team's 11-9 win over the Francis Lewis Patriots. Vinson was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Santa Clara in the contest. Santa Clara currently is in second place in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division at 24-25.

Vinson had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch cutter from Marshall McAuley, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Vampires a 10-8 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Vinson.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Vinson told reporters after the game.
