Victory Over Cardinals Takes Billings West to 29-19
Billings West and Montreal duked it out at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds and the Golden Bears came out victorious.

The Montreal Cardinals got a superb performance from pitcher Francis Haworth, but the Billings West Golden Bears still won the game, 6-4. Haworth was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. Billings West leads the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division by 5½ games.

Daniel Monaco, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Golden Bears organization, aided the Billings West cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.

Monaco said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
