Lions Suffer 13-2 Drubbing
The Lerna Lions and Jefferson Indians brought some excitement to Ballpark of Ecatepec HS.

Behind a solid performance from catcher Jason Burch, the Jefferson Indians defeated the Lerna Lions, 13-2. Burch went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for the Indians. John Bice, credited with the win, is now 4-2. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 7.2 innings.

The Indians got a big at-bat from third baseman Mike Everett. For the game, Everett went 1-5. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 57th hit of the season gave Jefferson a 1-0 lead.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Lerna manager Nick Riddick. "We got flat-out beat."

The Indians bumped their record to 26-20 with this latest triumph.
