Estrada Dazzles in San Francisco Win
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes satisfied the home crowd at Golden Gate Park, treating them to a season-opening win, 3-1, over the Bloomington Blazers. Starting Pitcher Carlos Estrada was named player of the game for San Francisco.
Estrada, who dominated for San Francisco, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 6. Bloomington batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Estrada said after the game.
