League Pennant Goes the Distance, So Cal Prevails Thursday, November 3rd, 2033 With a narrow 4-3 series win, the So Cal Republic have eliminated the Havana Stogies and are League Pennant winners. "We tried not to look ahead to the ABL World Series, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said first baseman Gerd Zabel, who was named series MVP. So Cal won the final game by a score of 4-3, wrapping it up at House of the Republic. Zabel's big series saw him hit .385 with a .407 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 6 runs. The So Cal Republic will play against the Maple Marauders in the next round. Maple won their series against the Quebec Armada 4 games to 2.
