"Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Fernando Germán, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance. So Cal won the final game by a 4-2 count at House of the Republic and the series 4-2. Dallas manager Anastasio Ojeda was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series. "They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said. For the series, Germán hit .300 with a .440 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs. The So Cal Republic will play against the Havana Stogies in the next round. Havana won their series against the Hawaii Islanders 4 games to 0.
